About the Campaign:

🐥🎉 Adopt a Duck & Race for a Cause! 🏁🌊

The Duck Derby is making a splash in Honesdale! Hosted by the Greater Honesdale Partnership in collaboration with the Olga & Dorothea Dessin Animal Shelter, this fun-filled community event invites residents and visitors to adopt a rubber duck and watch it race down the Lackawaxen River for a chance to win exciting prizes.

Date: August 1, 2026

Location: Main Street Bridge to Sycamore Point Park, Honesdale, PA

Time:

  • Event kicks off at 12:00 PM
  • 🦆 Duck Race starts at 12:45 PM

🏆 Prize Highlights:

🥇 1st Place – Midweek day pass for 4 to Woodloch Resort

🥈 2nd Place – Cricket Hill Golf Course 18-hole round with cart

🥉 3rd Place – 2-hour tandem railbike adventure for 2

This is a celebration of community and compassion. Proceeds help support local initiatives and the Dessin Animal Shelter, benefiting animals in need while bringing families, businesses, and visitors together for a memorable summer day along the river.
