2026 Trunk-or-Treat

🗓️ October 29, 2026

About the Campaign:

Starkville Parks and Recreation’s annual Trunk or Treat brings Halloween fun and community spirit to families across the city. You can help make this event a success by registering to be a trunker or by donating candy for the festivities. Trunkers provide decorated vehicles and hand out treats while donations help ensure there is plenty of candy for all participants. Your involvement helps create a safe, festive, and memorable experience for children and families while supporting this beloved community tradition.

Trunk-or-Treat will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Sports Complex, located at 222 Batters Boulevard, Starkville, MS.

Please carefully review the following participation guidelines:

  • All trunkers must arrive and be fully set up by 5:30 p.m. Late arrivals cannot be accepted for the safety of the children and families walking near the trunker stations in the parking lot once the event begins.
  • Sales are not permitted unless explicitly approved in writing by Starkville Parks & Recreation staff.
  • Non-Activity trunkers will set up in the parking lot in the spaces along the sidewalk in front of the main pavilion.
    • The space directly to the right of the statue is reserved for safety personnel.
  • Activity trunkers are responsible for providing their own tables and chairs. You will set up inside the center are past the main pavilion entrance.
  • Participants offering an activity or interactive experience must register as an Activity Trunker. This helps us plan the event layout and prevent excessively long lines.
  • The event will last approximately two hours, so please bring enough candy or giveaway items for the entire event.
  • Participants may not pack up or leave before the event concludes because children and families will still be walking throughout the parking lot.

Thank you for helping us create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!
