About the Community Initiative:

🦃🏃 Start Thanksgiving with the Gobble Hobble! 🍂👟

The Gobble Hobble is an annual 2-mile run/walk held Thanksgiving morning in Highland. It’s a fun and active way for friends, families, runners, and walkers of all kinds to start the holiday together. Whether you’re looking to race, enjoy a morning walk, or simply make the Gobble Hobble part of your Thanksgiving tradition, it’s all about getting outside and enjoying the morning with the community.

Event Details

Date: Thursday, November 26, 2026

Location: Korte Recreation Center, 1 Nagel Dr., Highland, IL 62249

The Gobble Hobble also provides an opportunity to give back locally. Over the past three years, the event has participated in a Grant Sponsorship program, with a portion of event proceeds and sponsorship funding helping support an addition to a park in Highland. It’s a simple way to have some Thanksgiving morning fun while supporting the community along the way.
