Be Part of the 29th Annual Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival!

For nearly three decades, the Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival has transformed the streets of Downtown Elkin into one of the most beloved fall celebrations in the region. This year's 29th annual edition promises to be the biggest yet!

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, Main Street Elkin comes alive from 9 AM to 4 PM with live music, hundreds of vendors, and the kind of small-town energy that draws visitors from across the East Coast. Whether you're here to browse handcrafted gifts, sample BBQ and baked goods, watch giant pumpkins tip the scales, or let the kids loose in the Kid Zone. There's something for everyone at every turn.

The legendary Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off kicks off at 9 AM at 257 Standard St., where growers from up and down the East Coast bring their most impressive pumpkins and watermelons, competing for a spot in the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth top ten. Fruit registration opens at 7 AM and runs until 9 AM, with weigh-off action continuing through approximately 2 PM.

The Kid Zone at 257 Standard St. keeps the little ones entertained all day with bounce houses and live entertainment! A free shuttle runs throughout the day, bringing visitors from overflow parking lots right into the heart of the festival.
