The West Long Branch Annual Youth Fishing Derby is a fun and memorable outdoor event that invites young anglers to spend the morning fishing, learning, and enjoying time with family at Franklin Lake. Hosted by the West Long Branch Recreation Commission, this community tradition encourages youth to experience the excitement of fishing while connecting with nature and their neighbors.

Location: Franklin Lake, West Long Branch, New Jersey

This free community event welcomes youth anglers ages 16 and under to participate in a friendly fishing tournament followed by prizes and pizza. Participants will fish along the lake, compete for bragging rights and awards, and celebrate their catches with fellow anglers and families. Events like the Youth Fishing Derby help foster outdoor recreation, community connections, and positive youth experiences. 🎣
