February 28, 2026 - Crazy Chili Cookoff Registration

About the Campaign:
We would like to invite you to participate in the Downtown Mineral Wells Crazy Chili Cook-Off and Amvets Car Show on Saturday, February 28th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm! We are so excited to bring the Chili cook-off back to Downtown and get the Mineral Wells businesses, non-profits and community members involved! Entries for teams Chili teams will be $201! We will be awarding 1st, 2nd! Pick a theme & go all out!

Team Information:

  • Set-up: 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
  • Event times: 2:00 – 5:00 pm
  • Judging: Starts at 3:00 pm

We will be setting up in Zappe Park (behind the Pastafina).

Each Team (4 members total) is asked to prepare enough chili for 75 people, 5 gallons, to taste. (Samples are usually approx. 3 tablespoons. per person; please bring your serving supplies).

Teams are required to bring their own table, chairs, burner & fuel. If using gas type appliances, you must have a 10 lb. ABC type extinguisher with current inspection tag for each cooking team. If you do not have an extinguisher, we will have some available at the event for a $10 fee.

As a bonus, once you have sampled some amazing Chili, enjoyed the car show, then jump on the Downtown Carriage for a stroll through Downtown. Ticket available onsite.
