Persian Gulf War Memorial Restoration

About the Campaign:

Preserving a Place of Honor

For more than 30 years, the Persian Gulf War Memorial in Veterans Park has served as a place of remembrance, honoring the men and women who answered our nation's call during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Recently, the memorial experienced a structural failure caused by age-related deterioration, making it clear that significant restoration or replacement is now necessary. The City of Rock Springs is committed to preserving this important tribute so it can continue to honor those memorialized for generations to come.

As we evaluate the best long-term solution, many community members have already asked how they can help. This campaign provides an opportunity for individuals, families, businesses, veterans organizations, and civic groups to become part of preserving this important piece of our community's history.

Every contribution will be dedicated exclusively to the future restoration or replacement of the Persian Gulf War Memorial. While the final design and project cost are still being determined, community support today will help ensure we are ready to move forward when that plan is complete.

Together, we can preserve a place of honor that reflects our community's gratitude for the service and sacrifice of those it was built to commemorate.

Community Partnerships

The preservation of this memorial is a community effort.

If your business, veterans organization, civic group, foundation, or other organization is interested in partnering with the City through sponsorships, fundraising events, in-kind services, or other support, we would welcome the opportunity to visit with you.
